Description: A collaborative event and digital exhibition in Space 2435 exploring past and present iterations of the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration. Activities included sugar skull decorating, live music by Mariachi Cristal, a theatrical performance by MOSAIC, a community altar designed by the Spanish Club, a digital exhibition co-curated by Colin Gunckel and Orquidea Morales, and a roundtable discussion led by NCID Visiting Scholar William Calvo-QuirĂ³s.
Collaborators: Professor Colin Gunckel (Screen Arts & Cultures), graduate student Orquidea Morales (American Culture), the Spanish Club, Lecturer Maria Dorantes (Spanish), and MOSAIC (international student theater company).
